The mast is fine and it came fairly quickly, however the company which shipped it, put this heavy metal mast into a solid cardboard mailing tube but they DID NOT use the plastic mailing tub end caps which need to be used with this type of item. All they did was put some cheap, thin, clear shipping tape on each end and so when I picked it up to bring it into my house, the mast slid out and gashed a wound in the top of my foot. When I looked, I saw that in fact both ends were completely open as all the tape had been broken in transit. If you don't use the plastic mailing tube caps or inserts on this type of metal mast shippment, you must at least use heavy filiment tape in multple layers and not the un-reinforced standard tape. I phoned them and they assure me this will be changed
